BEST HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL RIGHT-HANDED PITCHERS IN THE NATION IN 2024

High school softball is in that flexible part of the spring where some states have plenty of regular-season games left, while others are in varying stages of the playoffs.

Before the spring season started, SBLive Sports spotlighted the top high school softball hitters and pitchers in the country.

Now we'll shift to featuring the best outfielders, middle infielders, corner infielders, catchers, right-handed pitchers and left-handed pitchers in the nation.

We started with the outfielders, then the middle infielderscorner infielders and catchers, and now up are the right-handed pitchers.

Note: Many high school softball players excel at multiple positions. Don't be alarmed to see a top-flight power hitter listed here as a pitcher, for example.

Sophia Bordi, jr., Haddon Heights (New Jersey)

Bordi has led Haddon Heights to consecutive state titles, throwing perfect games in both championship contests. As a sophomore, she had a 0.43 ERA and 258 strikeouts while allowing just 30 hits and 17 walks in 114.1 innings, throwing four perfect games in the playoffs. She committed to Oklahoma in September and has 24 strikeouts in 10.1 innings thus far this season while battling an injury.

Carson Fall, sr., Bridge City (Texas)

Fall has put up mind-boggling numbers this season, striking out 414 batters in 146 innings, giving up just three earned runs all year. The Kentucky commit has a 23-1 record with a 0.14 ERA, twirling 11 no-hitters and one perfect game.

Addisen Fisher, sr., Bend (Oregon)

Softball America’s top-ranked pitcher in the country, the UCLA commit had another strong season for the Lava Bears as a junior, going 17-2 with 13 shutouts and a 0.32 ERA. She struck out 214, allowing only 37 hits and 16 walks in 110 innings. She’s been dominant again as a senior, thus far throwing three perfect games and striking out 158 in 76.2 innings, holding a 0.37 ERA.

Lexie Hames, jr., Seneca Valley (Pennsylvania)

A power pitcher with an imposing presence in the circle, Hames finished her sophomore season with 269 strikeouts and 32 walks in 122 innings and a 0.45 ERA. The Clemson commit is 8-0 this year with a 0.29 ERA and 177 strikeouts in 72 innings.

Kendra Lewis, sr., Rockridge (Illinois)

Lewis suffered the first two losses of her high school career this season, but she’s still holding a 0.80 ERA with 169 strikeouts in 96 innings. The Wisconsin commit went 25-0 with 194 strikeouts last season and boasts a career record of 74-2.

Karly Meredith, jr., Kaukauna (Wisconsin)

Kaukauna won its third state championship in a row last season, and Meredith starred at the plate and in the circle for the Wisconsin dynasty. The Virginia commit hit .542 but did her most devastating damage as a pitcher, going 22-0 with a 0.48 ERA, striking out 205 hitters in 117.1 innings. So far this year she’s 11-0 with a 0.34 ERA, fanning 126 batters in 62.1 innings.

Maddie Milhorn, jr., Skyview (Washington)

Milhorn emerged as one of the best pitchers in Washington as a sophomore, and she’s been untouchable as a junior. The Oregon commit is 9-0 and hasn’t given up any earned runs in 65.1 innings, striking out 137 batters.

Katelynn Oxley, sr., Bartow (Florida)

The future Florida Gator was clutch whenever she stepped into the circle for the Yellow Jackets as a junior, and was especially huge in the Class 6A state semifinals and championship game. Oxley has been her usual dominant self as a senior, going 13-1 with a 0.15 ERA, striking out 208 batters in 90.2 innings.

Sydnie Watts, jr., Austintown Fitch (Ohio)

After pitching a no-hitter in the semifinals, Watts led Austintown Fitch to its first state championship to punctuate her storybook sophomore season. She finished with a 21-0 record and a 0.38 ERA, recording 281 strikeouts in 129 innings while also mashing at the plate. The Georgia Tech commit is 16-1 so far this year with a 0.54 ERA, including an outing where she outdueled another one of the best pitchers in Ohio.

Berkley Zache, jr., South Bend St. Joseph (Indiana)

Zache forms one of the best batteries in the country with her older sister Riley, and they’re both Oklahoma commits. Berkley Zache went 17-1 with a 0.40 ERA as a freshman, then 16-1 with a 0.13 ERA as a sophomore. She’s 8-0 this season and hasn’t given up an earned run in 59 innings, striking out 145.
