2025 WILL RILEY FOCUSED ON FOUR SCHOOLS INCLUDING KENTUCKY

Will Riley, a Top-15 prospect in the class of 2025 has already heard from Mark Pope and the new Kentucky staff, who have reached out to a handful of recruits already. The 6-8, 180 lb. forward has Kentucky among the four schools that he is currently focused on, according to On3's Jamie Shaw.

The four programs Riley has zeroed in on right now are Arizona, Alabama, Arkansas, and Kentucky. Riley has already taken a visit to Arizona, and tells Shaw that he's also planning visit to the other three schools that he is focused on.

Riley talked about his upcoming visit to Kentucky, and says the staff is intrigued by his style of play. “I’ve only been in contact with the new coaches there a couple of times. They have been in contact more with my mom so far," Riley told Shaw. "They like my style of play. If you watch Coach Pope's film at BYU, they play like a video game style. They take a lot of shots, a lot of three-point shots and they play in transition. So that style suits my style of play.”

The other schools pursuing the 5-star forward include Duke, UCLA, Michigan, and Villanova. But, as he is more focused on Arizona, Kentucky, Alabama, and Arkansas, those other schools have taken a back seat. Riley talked about what he is looking for in a school at the next level. “I’m going to be looking at the coaching. I want to play for a coach that fits my play-style," Riley told Shaw. "I’ll want to go to a good environment, with good coaches, and good people. I can’t go to a place where I’m not going to feel comfortable. I like being put outside of my comfort zone, but I don’t want to have to change my whole game. The goal is to keep getting better and getting ready."

As both sides continue to prioritize each other, Kentucky and Riley will keep building a relationship as he gets on campus for a visit soon.
